Hello @IvyPark and welcome to the Community.  Yes, other users have had similar experiences.  The accelerometer is constantly registering activity.  There are algorithms that analyze the data, looking for patterns.  I remember one user wrote and said she got a swimming exercise from folding laundry.  Fitbit calls its auto-recognition SmartTrack.  Obviously, it isn't perfect.  Here are some ideas:

  • Turn off swimming as an exercise.  Tap on your profile avatar on your mobile app > Activity & Wellness > Exercise > Swimming > move the toggle to off.
  • This is actually a better idea.  Fitbit now recommends that you avoid getting soaps and shampoos on the devices to avoid potential damage.  Fitbit Wear and Care  I recommend taking it off while showering.  In my Fitbit history, I had three trackers that weren't water resistant at all and couldn't be worn in a shower at all.  I kept that habit even when the devices improved.
