in Charge 5 ressurection, I describe how my screen went blank but came back to life after a week of multiple attempted resets - but it continued to syn data to my phone.
A week later the screen went blank again, and for three weeks it resisted many reset attempts - but again still synced data to my android phone. Then the screen came back on: it was clearly a reset rather than a loose connection or damaged screen as it also changed the distance from miles to km. Its now been running fine for two weeks. I wonder what the fitbit moderator will advise re what I can expect going forward.

I too am having similar issues. My Charge 5 (purchased March 2023) died a couple of weeks ago. I was able to restart it, after multiple attempts, using the button on the charging cord. It has died again today, despite having been charged overnight. So far it is resisting all efforts to reset it and in fact has stopped buzzing when I use the button method.
I have looked for any firmware updates using the method you mention above but the only option I am given is to switch to google or disconnect the device. Neither of which appeals.
Any suggestions Dani?
