Charge 5 resting heart rate

my resting heart rate stopped logging data on my android samsung galaxy S7.  there was a 6 wk period when no data would log, and then 1 day i logged 1day and that was the last 4 weeks ago.

what is going on?

Could you please provide a few more details about this issue? Let me know if you mean that you're not able to see your resting heart rate on the Fitbit app. 

 

In the meantime, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar. In the meantime, in case this is related to the app, please try to:

 

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone. 
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see the tile. 
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar. 
  • Try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem.

hi David

 

there is no resting heart rate data on the fitbit app on my phone.  on the watch, the same resting heart rate (87) appears daily and has been doing that for the past 2 months.  i know it is inaccurate since i use other equipment to measure my heart rate.  keep in mind that ALL other data -  steps, sleep, exercise, syncs properly daily - BUT NOT RESTING HEART RATE.

thanks in advance for any assistance or guidance - by the way, i have done what you suggested several times and  - 0 - change.

Before considering other options, could you please also confirm if you already tried all the troubleshooting steps mentioned here earlier? These are usually helpful if there's an issue related to the app.
