Charge 5 battery draining quickly

I've had my charge for less than a year and as of the last two weeks it's been dying while the battery is anywhere in the 30s and 40s. Just now the whole device seems to have died spontaneously as it was working fine all day, then the red light on the back started flickering and then the whole display died. Now it's dead and not charging/unresponsive to any attempts to soft or factory reset.
