Charge 5 screen and battery issues

Bought charge 5  about 17 months ago.  Screen is going blank, not holding a charge and not tracking. These issues started as soon as the charge 6 was released.  I contacted Fitbit about the issue and they emailed to say I don't qualify for a replacement.  I never asked for a replacement, I want a solution to the issues.  I won't be buying another Fitbit

Hi there, @murielk. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is having issues with the battery and screen. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration. I'll do my best to help you! 

As a first approach, let's address the issue with the screen. If you haven't done so yet, please restart your Charge 5 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face. 

For battery draining too fast, please make sure you've followed these troubleshooting steps.

If none of the above seems to work, my best advice is to continue the conversation with our Support Team. If they mentioned to you that a replacement is the solution, this might be because you guys have already exhausted all steps to solve the issues you're experiencing. Therefore, feel free to contact them back for further details about the outcome of your case.
