Hi, my Charge 5 was working 2 days ago, then it stopped picking up on sleep but was logging steps still. I put it on charge (went flat in a day) and it went from fully charged to 5% in less than a day and the screen wont light up. I noticed its having connectivity trouble but is connecting at times and I have done the force restart for it and also my phone. I am trying to do the update but it wont let me click on the update button once I agreed to the terms, I am thinking it is not registering that it is on charge though it have checked and it has synced and also registering that it is connected. Does anyone have any ideas on the fix for this as I think the update is the fix for the sleep and screen issues.

Hi there, @DizzyLizzyA @ASQAH. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your Charge 5. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
Since you both have battery issues, I'd like to address this first so then we can handle the inconvenience with the firmware update. As per the description of your posts, I believe that the screen issue is related to the battery not charging and draining fast.
Please bear in mind that there are some issues that affect this behavior, being which power source is used and how clean the contacts are and how well the charger is seated. With this being said, please make sure your Charge 5 devices are receiving a good power source. If you haven't done so yet, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
If the battery keeps draining after charging your devices, I'd recommend making sure that your phone's software version is updated. For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad
If you haven't done so yet, please try all tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Once the battery is behaving as it should, try updating your Charge 5. If the issue persists and you cannot update it, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
