Adding this because it seemed different than some of the other patterns. My screen went black this morning so I put it on the charger assuming it was a dead battery. Pulled it off at lunch and the screen is still black. Try the soft reset and the logo comes on and lights up fine, then nothing. Checked that it is syncing which it is, but it tells me it's completing an update. Update finished still black. Another soft reset, another bright logo. Changed the clock face as another post suggested, again the screen lights up showing it's updating. The screen works conditionally. It seems like a software problem rather than a hardware one. Tried using customer support and got a canned email that I'll need to purchase a new device. Are others experiencing the selective screen activity?
