Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @m311y!
Sad to hear that you're having issues with your Charge 5. As restarting sometimes needs a few attempts to work, I'd suggest giving that another try closely following these instructions as timing is crucial for this procedure:
1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.
If you're really out of luck, I'd suggest contacting Fitbit support as soon as possible to get further assistance:
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Best AnswerNothing happened for me either. Yesterday, while my unit was charging it started asking for me to add a payment card? Then it went black and started to get very hot; it has been plugged in for hours and was discharging and recharging; this am it was only at 67% charge and appears to be syncing with my phone; but the screen is still black.
I think it is time to contact a real person at support.
