Fitbit Charge 5 stopped working. Double tapped screen but nothing displays/won't wake up. Connected to charger so I know it's charged. I tried doing a reset by pressing the button 3 times with a 1 second pause between presses. Fitbit log appears and then goes away. Double tapping the screen does nothing. Tried forgetting the device in under Bluetooth connections. Removed device from Fitbit app. Turned off phone for 2 mins and restarted. Tried to find device in the app on my phone to re-pair. Phone and app detects my Charge 5 and asks for code but no code is displayed on the screen and double tapping the screen does nothing. I've tried all the recommendations I found on the Fitbit community searches. My Charge 5 is only about 3 years old and I never had any issues before. I feel it's unacceptable that it quit functioning correctly this quickly.

Mine just did the same except the charge goes down to 5% two hours after reaching 100%. I have had 4 Fitbits including this one and each lasts less than the previous one. The first one worked perfectly for 3 years. This one is at a bit over a year. This is my last one. I’ve had it.

My previous Fitbit Versa fell apart (screen came unglued) and this Charge 5 lasted less that 3 years. These aren't cheap devices and I'm not sure I can justify replacing it with another device that will fail shortly after the warranty ends. Totally unacceptable. Might be time to look at other brands. Extremely frustrating.
