Hey everyone. My charge 5 dropped on it's face after falling off my wrist. When I tap the screen to turn it on, it won't come on. I have to keep my finger on the screen and use my other finger to scroll to keep it on. Has anyone experienced this? Please help. Thank your.

Hi there, @RoRo77. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.

As @Talahthas has recommended, please restart your Charge 5 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

@RoRo77 Welcome to the Fitbit community!

Sad to hear about your mishap with your Charge 5. I'd suggest trying to restart your device by following these instructions:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.
2.) Press the button located on the USB plug of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Hi MarreFitbit. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, neither restarting the device nor changing the clock faced fixed the issue. I contacted the company and they were of little help. I'll have to get a new device. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Talahthas. Thank you your your help. Restarting the device did not fix the issue. I'm going to have to purchase a new Fitbit. Thanks again.
