I did, yes, the screen is back, but battery is still draining..

Sorry to see you're having problems with your Charge 5. I'm glad to see that your screen is showing again. 

Regarding your rapid battery drain, this page has suggestions that you might helpful: How can I extend my Fitbit battery life  

When I experienced rapid battery drain on my Charge 5, I had to restart it multiple times over a couple of days before the issue finally went away. This might work for you.
