My Charge 5 sensor is not working (no green light and no recording HR). I also can not get the watch to switch to the water lock (the screen says tap twice hard but it does not lock), the battery is draining in less than a day (in one hour it went from 100% to 73%. It usually takes several days). I have tried everything I can find in the forums, restarted it several times, even deleted the watch from my app and reinstalled and synced.
Can anyone please help me fix this watch?

Hi there, @christinas_7. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still not working as expected. I will do my best to help you!
As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Charge 5. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
If you're able to sync your Charge 5, please make sure you sync your Fitbit device before proceeding with the reset. Regarding your sleep data, try syncing twice in a row to make sure all data is transferred.
With the above being said, please follow the steps below to complete the factory reset:
Once the above has been done, you can now proceed to set up your Charge 5 again by following the steps provided here How do I set up my Fitbit device?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I had similar problems. The back fell off and the sensor won't recognize the charge. I reached out to Fitbit, but all they would do is give me a discount on a new model. I've tried glueing it and that worked for a little while, but now it won't charge at all. I already had a Fitbit Versa (also doesn't charge) and now the Fitbit Charge 5 which is only a year old - sadly, I won't be purchasing another.

I am having the same issues. I tried resetting and even tried the factory reset but it hasn't fixed anything. Biggest issue is not tracking heart rate or associated items - it just shows a line but is not tracking or syncing. Plus battery doesn't fully charge and then runs out in about a day. I'm about to toss it out and go with a different brand (non-Fitbit) because I'm so frustrated. I only bought it in June 2022 so it's not even 2 years old yet but yeah, it's out of warranty.

Thank you for your response but the recommendation did not work. What are my options going foward? I just passed the two year mark and thought the watch would have lasted longer (especially since this happened out of nowhere).
