Charge 5 showing 100% charge, not switching on

My Charge 5 is not switching on. When I connect it to the charging cable, it vibrates (shows Fitbit logo), then vibrates again and shows 100% charge and the date. It definitely does not have 100% charge; it may or may not be 0.

I have tried resetting (press 3 times, 1 second between), and hard resetting (hold 15 seconds). It simply does the same thing as described above: vibrates (shows Fitbit logo), then vibrates again and shows 100% charge and the date.

App says 100% charge when it is synced.

How do I go about fixing this? I've had it for 15 months, so out of warranty.

Hi @DavidWClydeWelcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the battery of your Charge 5. I appreciate the steps you have already done to try to resolve this battery issue.

Sometimes when the display doesn't turn on, we may understand the issue as the battery is not charging. However, the issue might be related to the display only. To confirm this, check if the device is syncing to the mobile app on your mobile.

In addition, i recommend checking this article to know about some tips that could be helpful to ensure the battery is charging.

If you are able to sync while the device is in charge but the syncing disappears when you pull it out from charge, i recommend to contact our customer service team for further assistance.

I hope this will be helpful for you !
