My Fitbit is showing a white x surrounded by a red circle. Have I killed another Fitbit?

Hi, @Dustbunny57 , hopefully it is fixable! Did this happen when you were trying to update the Fitbit? You can check for firmware updates in your app. If one is available to you you should see a pink arrow and a message inviting you to update your Fitbit. If you see the update available message then plug your Fitbit in and give it a good charge. Then ideally while it is still plugged in and charging, try the update again.
Alternatively this may happen if there has been an issue with your Fitbit communicating with the app. I would recommend making sure your Fitbit is well charge and then giving your Fitbit a restart and then trying to sync your Fitbit by opening the app, clicking on the small icon top left (smart phone and watch), selecting your device on the next screen and choosing “sync now”. It’s worth trying this a couple of times as a single restart does not always do the trick.
If that doesn’t work you may need to let the battery die completely and then plug it in to charge and when it has had an hour or two charging try again. Hopefully you will get back up and running.
Let us know how it goes as others may have further suggestions. If these trouble shooting steps don’t help you can always get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on contact.fitbit.com .
