I have a new Charge 5 & it has the same problem as the Charge 4 that FB were unable to resolve - spurious early morning peak in active minutes not mirrored in heart rate. The peak appears retrospectively after true active minutes are earned later in the day.
Based on my 40+ days of communicating with FBsupport about this problem with the Charge 4, they acknowledged they couldn’t resolve it so offered me a second replacement!
Looks like an app issue to me but FB did seem particularly concerned or willing to investigate further with me.

Indeed FB Support have been in touch & I provided screenshots throughout the day showing the spurious/false active Zone Minutes appearing retrospectively & triggered by real active Zone Minutes being earned.
These spurious/false active Zone Minutes are NOT recorded in the Timeline [that details when active Zone Minutes are earned], & they are NOT mirrored by any spikes in the Heart Rate monitoring record - if they were real active Zone Minutes I would also see a rise in Heart Rate.
FB Support's response - they thanked me for the screenshots, told me about Zone Minutes [information available in the app], & told me to try tightening the strap!!!!!
Nothing about spurious/false active Zone Minutes, & nothing about retrospective changes to the Zone Minute record.
This response is similarly unhelpful to all the others I have had communicating with FB support since Jul-21 about this problem with the Charge 4 & with the Charge 5.

On the Charge 4 community there is a thread reporting the same spurious, early morning, active minute peaks. On the Charge 4 thread, users report the same problem also on Sense, Versa, & Luxe.
Looks like an app problem - it happens on so many different Fitbits & on different phones.
There’s just been a new app update - each time there is one I keep my fingers crossed - but I’m always disappointed!!
I no longer communicate with FB support on this problem.

So, yet another firmware update (194.61) and spurious active minutes continue to be recorded retrospectively in the early hours of the morning with no record in the heart rate graph (because it’s a fault!)
Almost 4 years since this was reported!
