Charge 5 still lights up in sleep mode

Hi!

I'm having trouble with my charge 5 lighting up every few minutes at night, even when it's in sleep mode?  I can be absolutely dead still and it will still randomly light up?  Notifications are off.

Is there a fix for this or is it a faulty device?

Thanks

Hi MAH84 - I’m not sure about your settings at night, so you may have tried what I’m about to suggest 😊 — First, swipe down from the main screen until you see “SCREEN WAKE”, and make sure it’s set on “Manual”. Then continue swiping down until you see “”SETTINGS”, Go into Settings, then “DISPLAY SETTINGS” and set the brightness to dim. You can return to the home screen by swiping to the right a few times. Hope this helps!

I have my Charge 5 set to automatically go into sleep mode on a schedule every night.  It works for the most part, but sometimes the watch lights up anyway even though it's in sleep mode.  I know that when it's in sleep mode you can wake it for a few seconds by double tapping on the watch face.  For me, I think that my tossing and turning in the bed causes the watch face to bump against the sheets and pillow, effectively "double tapping" on it and waking it up.  That's my theory anyway.  It's not a big problem for me since it only happens once in a while and doesn't seem to affect anything.

Thanks for your replies, unfortunately it still happens regardless of settings and even when I am completely still (tested while still awake).

Yes, still happens for me too. Happens when I move but pretty sure it's not being double tapped by the blankets or bed. Some how the blankets causes it to register as a swipe to the device, which wakes my screen with my finger (note, both manual wake and sleep modes on). My guess is that the static electricity that allows the blankets to mimic a swipe. Wondering if it will happen less often in warmer and more humid weather?

It's driving me bonkers so I'll be ditching it when my premium sub runs out it Feb. Frustrating as it does everything really well but I'm sick of being almost asleep and then it lights up. 🙄
