Charge 5 stopped charging

My Fitbit was purchased 09/2023. It started not holding a charge a few months ago & then intermittently charging at all. I got a new cable, hoping that was the problem, it didn’t fix the issue. My watch now doesn’t charge at all. I thought the battery needed to be changed, but I’m reading that can’t be done. Ideas? I can’t imagine my only option is to buy another one.

I’m having the same issue with my charge 5. It began with rapid battery drain to now my device won’t charge at all. Expect the Fitbit moderators to tell you to “ press the button on the charger base three times” or possibly something else as useless. I’m also within the first year of purchase, but don’t know if I want to proceed with a warranty claim. I don’t trust a replacement device will perform any better than the one I have now. Maybe if Fitbit would address the actual root cause of the issue and offer a valid corrective action, I would perhaps consider another Fitbit product.

I've decided to have it replaced. Otherwise, I'll have a $ 150 watch product sitting in my drawer for no good reason.

I'm skeptical, but hopeful as 2 workout partners have each had their fit-bits for over 5 years. We'll see.
