Charge 5 stopped showing detailed data from my runs

Hi! My charge 5 just stopped showing the detailed data from my logged runs, such as heart rate, splits, map etc. It now only shows a few details such as average pace, distance etc. What’s weird is that it doesn’t show the detailed data from my previous runs either, which it has done up until today. I even screen recorded when going back to my previous logged runs, where it first shows the detailed data (with a green symbol), then it’s like the app update itself and and all of the sudden the data is gone (as well as the green symbol). I can’t seem to upload the screen recording but here is a print screen of the data now showing. What do I do? It is connected properly to the device and the gps was connected (which can’t be the problem anyway since it stopped showing details from previous runs as well)

The two print screens above shows the same date, with the green symbol. When clicking on the logged run, it first showed all details, then the screen flickered and then the details was gone. Now when looking at the same date the symbol is gone.

Hello @Hannaandersson

I've seen Charge 5 & 6 users report that their completed workouts have disappeared from the Fitbit app.

Yesterday, I experienced an issue similar to yours where the additional details for my completed workouts disappeared from the Fitbit app. I actually watched the data disappear from the app for one of my workouts that I completed last week. However, it seemed like it got resolved later in the evening and all my details were back for all my completed workout.

Please let us know if your details also re-appeared. If they haven't, I will try to escalate the issue.

I wear a Charge 5. I'm also having this problem, and only recently. My splits have disappeared and they are replaced by only one entry ("Lap 1") with numbers that make no sense. All of my splits for previous runs (which once had accurate split times) have also disappeared. Screenshots attached from a workout I did this morning. I hope this gets resolved soon!

Hi,  The fitbit app on my phone has exactly the same problem. Not showing exercise maps of any of my previous runs or walks or my latest run/walk. Just basic information Heart Rate, Energy, Impact.  Done the usual uninstall & reinstall of the fitbit app along with a reboot of the charge 5. Still get same problem.

In the exercise screen a run or walk shows a grey screen with a red loading symbol.

Hello @Hannaandersson @SunsetRunner @VintageRunner

I looked at the Fitbit Status Dashboard website and saw that there was an issue with the Web API starting around the beginning of September. This impacts data syncing and is apparently the reason why we're having problems with seeing our exercise data in the Fitbit app. The current status is still showing the Web API issue as of today, 07 Sep 2024. So, they must still be working on fixing the problem.

Please be patient. I'll keep checking the status daily. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before it's fixed and we see all our exercise data again.

Hello @Trottingnana

There is still an issue on the Fitbit side that affects the ability to see completed exercise data. I've seen recent Moderator posts acknowledging the issue and that the team is working on fixing the problems.

I've also seen recent Moderator posts mentioning that an app update will be rolling out in the next few days. Keep checking the app store and install the update when it's available for you.

Although I haven't seen any confirmation, I'm hoping that the issue affecting exercise data will be fixed in this next app update.

Just having the exact same problem (using Charge 5). New data and laps are correctly recorded at first but then get stored in a format displaying only one lap. Also noticed that old (more than 3 months) running maps are all gone. 🥲. Please let us know when this annoying bug will be solved.
