Charge 5 stopped tracking data

my Fitbit stoped tracking data after the new update i also got some wierd red x that showed up and some point is it dead and do i need to get a new one also the HR sensor is only flashing red

Hi, welcome back to the Community forums, @pineapple69

Thank you for all the information that you've shared about this issue with your Charge 5.

Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method described here below: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

In addition to the restart, you can also try setting up the Charge 5 as a new device in your account.

hi i tried both those things and it didint fix the problem
