Charge 5 stopped tracking my sleep data

I've done everything including clearing cache, force stop, restart. Both Luxe and Charge 5 have the same issue.

Hi there, @raleighfit @Txgraywolf @RevCWThanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 devices are still not tracking your sleep data. I will do my best to help you with this!

While reading your post, I was wondering if your Charge 5 is still tracking your heart rate? If your heart rate is OFF, you won't get sleep stages as heart rate readings are key for your sleep details. With that being said, I'd recommend trying the following steps to make sure your heart rate is working:

  • Switch the Heart Rate settings from On to Off and manually sync your watch. To switch the heart rate settings on your Fitbit device, from the main screen of your Charge 5, swipe left until you see "Settings", next swipe up until you see "Heart Rate" and switch it to Off.
  • Once it's done, manually sync your Charge 5. To do so, from the Today tab, tap Devices > device image. Tap Sync Now
  • Next, switch it from Off to On and manually sync your Fitbit device once again. 
  • Once it's done, restart your watch once again. 
  • Next, confirm that your tracker is snug on your wrist (the lights shouldn't be visible) We also recommend when you're not exercising, wear the tracker just above the wrist bone.

After these problems, now the watch doesn’t switch on at all. Tried the troubleshooting by connecting to my computer to see at least something on my watch. Still malfunctioning.

I did this again and restarted  Charge 5. This worked. Thank you!!!

I’ve had this Fitbit for over a year. I never had to jump through these hoops before to have my sleep tracked. About a month ago it started having issues. I saw there was an app update so I updated my app. Tried all of these setting switches. It did not work. I was going to get a new one when I noticed there had been another App update. I updated it again and my sleep started being tracked. Now it worked until Wed of this week but Thursday and today nothing for sleep tracking again. I see in the forum I am not the only one. What is going on with sleep tracking and the Charge 5? This is more than individual settings.

Same problem except I get sleep data but no REM or deep sleep tracked.  ZERO.  Something is wrong and I have tried all the fixes.  May have to switch to more expensive Apple watch

Back again!! Charge 5 stopped recording any sleep
