I had thought the Charge 5 was supposed to be water resistant, and swimming is even one of the included exercises. I don't swim with it, but after a brief dip in a pool recently forgetting I had it on, the screen only came on intermittently for several days, and then died altogether. Luckily it's under warranty, so I will get a replacement. But this happened back in February too, and then I was just a month out of warranty. Fitbit gave me a discount on purchasing a new device back then. So why is this device marketed as being OK to swim with?

Hi there, @KVfbuser. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Fitbit devices. I understand where your concern is coming from.
I'm glad to hear that our Support Team was able to help. Thanks for sharing the outcome with them! 😊
Regarding your inquiry, if your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...
