Charge 5 stopped working after getting wet

The Fitbit got wet while I was cleaning the kitchen. I have cleaned the connectors, dried it off, put it on the charger, and it still won’t turn on. The screen is totally black.

Help!

If you think water might have got inside your Fitbit please put it in a bag of uncooked rice for at least 24 - 48 hours so that the rice can absorb the water.  Ideally do not try to charge it until you are confident that it is dry.  When it is dry please try giving it a restart .  Hopefully it will be back up and running again.

Samething happened to mine but it was just sweat it somehow got inside and now it's isn't working I even put it in rice nothing I thought it was water resistant? I guess it's defective maybe.
