Hi there, @Tang92. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 has stopped working after getting wet. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, may I know if your Charge 5 vibrated during the restart process? If it didn't, I'd recommend trying the steps below:

I am having a similar issue as tang92. I bought this model for bit so I could swim. I always have used the water lock without issue. However yesterday when I was swimming the device began to vibrate and I thought I just might have a call coming in, so I ignored it. When I finished my swim I realized that the Fitbit screen wouldn’t illuminate. I dried and cleaned the device and charged it, thinking that was the issue. But it is still not illuminating and is vibrating non-stop. I cleaned it again this morning. It won’t sync to my phone anymore, either. Does this mean that my Fitbit is toast? I’m so annoyed and don’t understand why after 2 years this is happening. Any suggestions?

Just wanted to report that my Fitbit had a miraculous recovery over night and is now working. I have no idea how it repaired itself, but it has. I probably won't trust it while swimming anymore, though. Sadly, this product is not as dependable as an Apple Watch, when it comes to preventing issues when it gets wet.
