Charge 5 stopped working after the udpate

I updated my fitbit a few weeks ago and it bricked. I tried again a week later before coming here. 

Screen is black, gets hot when plugged into charger but no other response. Have tried pressing and holding the charger button, but no luck. Any idea what is causing this issue or how to resolve? Is it possible to uninstall update?

Same exact thing happened to me. Gave up a few weeks ago. Decided to randomly try again yesterday and the screen finally came back on when I plugged into the charger. Got a full charge yesterday and by this morning, it was turned off because the battery fully drained. Plugged it back into the charger about 20 mins ago. Was charging up to 50% then it completely shut off again. Can't get the screen to respond to anything while plugged in or not plugged in. Who knows how long my Charge5 will remain unresponsive this time around...
