Charge 5 stops tracking my sleep data if I get up

My Fitbit charge 5 has started to cut off sleep monitoring if I get up during the night. My dog often wakes in the night to go outside. Over the last few nights my Fitbit has only registered sleep until that time whereas it used to mark that as awake and carry on till morning. Help appreciated, thanks.

Hello @Su5ie

I've experienced similar situations where my sleep log doesn't show that I went back to bed after getting up in the night or my sleep is broken into 2 logs. When this happens, I edit my sleep log in the Fitbit app. In case you haven't done this before, this help page (<-- click) has the instructions on how to edit your sleep logs.

Just to let you know, there's currently an issue on the Fitbit side where editing your sleep log doesn't update your sleep stages graph & sleep score. The team is aware of this issue and has been working on the problem. I understand that a new update for the Fitbit app, ver 4.57, will start rolling out and should have the fix.

Hi, Thanks for replying. It has been working properly for the last two nights so I think it’s just playing up now and again. It’s just annoying as I like to know the hours and type of sleep as I’m often tired.

A similar thing happened with steps too. I had a two hour period when I didn’t get up and move and it still said I had done 12/12 lots of 250!
