Charge 5 strap keeps unclipping

Twice now, once just taking coat off, the clip has detached itself and I’ve been so close to losing the Fitbit. 
shockingly poor design and not sure what to do about it

 I appreciate all the feedback and information that you've shared about this inconvenience you're experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Before considering other options, please make to press the band into the end of the tracker until you hear a click and it snaps into place. Keep in mind that the band with the buckle attaches to the top of the tracker. You can find other useful information in this article to properly secure the band.
