Charge 5 stuck logo red light

I took off my fitbit Charge today and the screen Fitbit logo came and went. It now has a red light on the rear which I haven’t seen before.

I have tried restarting the device with the button on the cable. It vibrates, momentarily, turns on (I see the blue Fitbit logo) and then it's back to a black screen.
I bought this in August last year and don’t even wear it all the time.

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @Stanwoir!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected.

Although you've mentioned to already having tried to restart your device, I'd suggest giving it another try as it sometimes takes several attempts to successfully restart Charge 5. Please closely follow these instructions as timing is crucial:

Although you've mentioned to already having tried to restart your device, I'd suggest giving it another try as it sometimes takes several attempts to successfully restart Charge 5. Please closely follow these instructions as timing is crucial:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a reliable power source.
2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charging cable 3 times within 8 seconds(!), holding each press for about 1 second(!).
3.) Wait around 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on your device's display.

If that won't work for you, please try if changing your device's clock face will get it back to working order. Here's how to do that:

How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

This is exactly what his happening twitch mine too; changing between Fitbit logo and red and white cross. I have strictly followed all instructions with no change or impact taking place. Also, the app indicates it is ‘looking’ for the device to connect to it even though it is next to it. Additionally, when I remove the Charge 5 from the charger it continuously vibrates now..

i have had mine since Dec/January 2023 without any issues at all and suddenly in the past 24 hours this has occurred.

Oh dear judging by the threads I have read on here this is a common fault with the charge 5. I have tried what has been suggested but cannot connect to the watch as it won’t charge. I can reset the watch but then the logo disappears. I therefore cannot connect it to my phone to change the watch design.

Yes, my problem too. It will be interesting to see what happens next. I have had an email asking for a photo and details so it appears something is starting - but what the result is will really demonstrate how much company values their customers.

The red light shows a fault at the rear. It is a common issue with the charge 5. I have now brought it back to the shop for a full refund as it was only 6 months into original 2 years manufacture guarantee. I have no replaced this with an Apple Watch as I am fed up with fit bit, terrible design app and poor customer service.
