Charge 5 stuck on Fitbit logo and red light is flashing constantly

I have tried everything based on what was mentioned here (changing clock face, press the button on the charging cable, manually restart etc etc). I returned a few days ago from an international trip - inspite of everything, it would not take the local time on the watch. When I came back here, it started showing the right time! I used it for a day and first got the message - Low battery followed by critical -low battery. I quickly charged it. After that, I only see a red light and a blank screen.

Currently it has a red light and when I charge it, the fitbit logo briefly comes on and then its blank again. What can I do next.
