Charge 5 stuck on a red X

Hi. My charge 5 had the red circle with white cross in it, I did some trouble shooting e.g. plugged in and pressed the button on the charger 3 times. The red circle and white cross has gone but the watch has now become unresponsive. I’ve tried the charger button process like 5 times with no avail. How long are the Fitbit’s supposed to last in terms of life expectancy? I’ve not had it that long and it’s died already. Is there anything that can be done or is my only option to fork out for another? Thanks Chloe

Hi there, @chloeFreeman. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still unresponsive. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried all steps described below in the order listed:

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure method using the charging cable once again.
  2. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  3. If you  can't sync, please try tapping on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears (since a new firmware version has been released for the Charge 5).
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried all the above steps but now the watch is just flashing the Fitbit logo on and off constantly. I am gutted I love my Fitbit, I assume there is no saving it now? Thanks Chloe

@chloeFreeman Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have a Charge 5 and report it's stuck on the Fitbit logo, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.
