Charge 5 stuck on "Set up Wallet"

My charge 5 keeps notifying me every 5 min to add a card in wallet in the app. I can't even find it in the app. To be totally honest, I don't even want it.  I just want it to stop draining my battery and sending notifications every 5 min. I bought a Fitbit tracker not a banking tracker.

To better assist you, would you mind sharing with me the exact message you're getting on your Charge 5? Is it stuck on "Set up Wallet"? If so, please note this screen will appear when opening the wallet app on your Fitbit device by either tapping on it or with left button to access to the shortcuts. While it's not possible to delete the wallet app, please give a try to the following steps to reconnect your watch to your account:

  1. Remove the Charge 5 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Restart your Charge 5.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Select the Charge 5 and follow the onscreen instructions.

I'm having the same issue, and it started within the last few weeks. My charge 5 is at least 1.5 yr old, so I wonder if it's a software issue?
