I've been using my charge 5 for at least 2 years without problems.
Now since 5 days it's suddenly draining the battery ultra rapidly. From 100% to 5% within 5 hours.
I hadn't changed anything. Dont use GPS. Only display a few notifications from my phone. I dont use the always on display.
I'm not sure if a firmware upgrade was done. My current firmware is 188.58. I see there is a newer one, but its not offered in the app as update.
I've already restarted the device, removed and reconnected it to my phone.
Also I tried a different watch face. But so far nothing solved the problem
Hope you can help me to solve this problem.
Thanks
Bas

Any resolve for your issue? I have been experiencing the same issues for the past week. I thought my unit died, bought a new one and it's the same. My sons is doing the same thing. Three at once is a little to coincidental.

thanks
but unfortunately no resolution for the issue. Ive gotten an article which I had found and tried already.
So I guess there is no way anymore to fix it.

Hi
Unfortunately, not.
I did get a response from the support team.
On it mostly repetitions of what I had done already. Rebooting the device (menu, hard way). Removing apps (even if that feels weird, since I hadn't changed anything). resetting it, removing data, reinstalling app.
So far, nothing's changed. And my charge 5 empties within 2 to 3 hours. So I cant use it anymore.
Meaning I likely, unfortunately will have to get a different watch,

When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.

Hi
Thanks, I will try. Am basically doing this for 2 days already. But will keep at it a bit more.
If it works, I'll update it here. so far no luck
