Charge 5 suddenly stopped syncing and not found on Bluetooth. Screen is back. Have attempted reboot. Other suggestions?

Mine did the exact same thing on 7/26. Screen went black and showing 4% in the app. I tried everything and then contacted customer service. They literally suggested everything I tried-  Clean the charger and the back of the watch, try to reboot from the charge cord (press 3x for a sec within 8 seconds), try different outlets or bases for the cord. Nothing helped, they sent me away with a case number and the promise of an email. So far no email, so I came here. It seems we are not alone in this issue.

Very disappointed in the life span of these devices. They continue to get shorter. I'm looking elsewhere.

It's amazing how many of us have the same issues.  I went through all the reboot, restart, change the clock face steps.  All of a sudden the screen is dark. At first it was still charging and collecting data, then after two days it went totally dead.  I mean, can't restart it, no longer connected to bluetooth.  Even if I put it back on the charger, the device will heat up.  The saga continues........
