I just switched to a Charge 5 & was surprised that it told me to click screen to water lock? I never had to do that with the charge 4? Isn’t it automatic?
on another note is there any way to track open water swims?

Hi, thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5, @Nychmd.
Could you please provide a few more details on how the device asked you to turn on Water Lock? Were you already in the water swimming? I have verified that your device should indeed turn on the Water Lock automatically when you start a swim in the Exercise app.
Regarding the possibility of swimming in open waters with your device, unfortunately this hasn't been implemented and it's currently necessary to set a pool length for accuracy of data, but I do recommend that you vote for this idea in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers.
I'll be around.
