My Fitbit is about a year old and my heart rate reading suddenly got too high a couple of months ago. Comparing manual and Fitbit measurements, Fitbit is up to 30bpm too high. I’ve tried resetting it, no good. Fitbit, what else can I try to resolve the problem?

Hello and welcome back to the Fitbit Community.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation in regards to your Charge 5 tracking your heart rate.
I recommend you to double check how you're wearing your Charge 5 just to confirm this is not impacting it, after that, let me know how it goes, please.

Honestly, I've never been able to get my Charge 5 to record accurate HR. I have read all instructions on where to wear it and have moved it around trying to get an accurate reading. Reset it, rebooted it, etc.. Example: I was using an elliptical yesterday and wearing the tracker on my left wrist a couple of inches above wrist bone, it registered a max of 195 (I think since the app does NOT show max HR and the Website is GONE!). I'm 70 yrs old, in good shape and really was not breathing hard at all. At 195 I'd be dead! This is not a new occurrence for this tracker for me. Interestingly, it registers resting HR just fine. With the loss of the website and a terrible app, it's time to move on from Fitbit.
