Charge 5 tracking less steps than app

i have tried everything today. my app on my iphone is saying i have done 7,735 steps which is right  and my fitbit is saying i have done 5,830. this has just started recently im having to check my phone and fitbit

Thank you for providing the inquiry regarding your Charge 5.

Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. If that is your case, Mobile track will add the steps recorded by your phone to the Fitbit app. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account.  On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair".
