My Charge 5 has, on multiple occasions, registered 20 - 40 thousand steps all at once whilst I'm asleep.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 5. Thank you for the information provided.

 

If you haven't done so, please restart your Tracker by following these steps.

 

To negate the extra data, please visit this article, open the menu "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?" and follow the instructions.
