Charge 5 turning off and on and not holding charge

My charge 5 has not been working for last few days, when charging it turns on and off constantly (approx every 7 seconds) and will display random % charged on screen for instance I put it on says 25% turns of and back on around 8 seconds later and says 43% turns off and back on and says 33% or comes up with the red X, left it on charge overnight took it off and said 13% I have left it for days to charge and on charging screen has said 65% take it off and said 40% will turn off and on with 8 seconds and say 25% then 19% place it back on charge and straight away will say 59%  I have tried to reset it through the charger multiple times but proved unsuccessful, I can't do a reset through the watch itself as it freezes and turns off before can do it, the furthest I got is to swipe up to settings before it freezes and turns off and on, sometimes I can't get past the clock face before it freezes,

I bought it in October 2021 so probably not under any warranty but is there anyway to fix this issue or is it completely goosed and need replacing. Never really had any issues apart from a few connecting and syncing it when I first bought it but since then it's worked fine

Hi & welcome @DC23

Sorry to see you're having problems with your Charge 5.

For the charging issues, this article may be helpful in troubleshooting: Why isn't my Fitbit's batteries charging

There's another troubleshooting step that you can try for the unresponsive display which is changing the clock face. Sometimes doing this will get your Fitbit "unstuck". From posts I've read, it could take several tries before it works. If it works, then you change back to the clock face that you prefer. Click here for instructions on: How to change Charge 5 clock face

Hopefully, you'll be successful in getting your device back to working properly.
