After my Charge 3 got crushed, looked for a replacement and purchased a Charge 5 on November 6th. It is now the 16th and starting to experience problems.
When the screen unlocks, it show very bright to white. Fades to normal after a few seconds. Cannot read the screen when it it white. Is this normal or not. I know it is a different screen from the 3, but still. I just want to screen to come on and not wait to be able to see it. Starting to feel like I just wasted $180

Thank you for all the information provided regarding the inconvenience with the display of your Charge 5.
Some users have reported getting a white screen permanently on the screen, but this seems to be a different problem. If possible, could you please share a picture of the device when you're seeing this bright screen?
In the meantime, please go to the settings app on your device and look for the Brightness section, then try to change between Max, Normal or Dim, to check if you continue to experience the same behavior. In addition, make sure to complete a restart procedure as described in this article, as this has been useful for other users experiencing problems with the display.
