Charge 5 warranty inquire

Hi 

Just double checking the warranty on the Charge 5.
In contact with a FitBit moderator and he is insisting the warranty is expired and can only offer me a 50% discount on buying a new Fitbit (But not the new Charge 6 or any Google Watches)

Is the warranty 1 year or 2 Years?
The Charge 5 was bought 22/4/22. Sydney Australia. 
I have had a battery issue since July and it will turn on. However the battery fails and need to be charged every 3-4 hours. 

Anyone else had any luck?

I hope I don't have the same battery problems as the original Charge 5 and look forward to getting the fitness journey back for Summer.

I would also like to understand how long the warranty is on my Charge 5 which I purchased in July 2022. I reported a problem with a blank screen and unresponsive Charge 5 a few weeks ago and was told it was out of its warranty and I would need to purchase a new one.  I was so disappointed  in this response, having previously praised Fitbit customer service, it seems to have deteriorated and as a result I have lost confidence in the brand.  Please confirm the warranty period - I had understood it to be 2 years but it seems this is not the case.
