Having enjoyed my charge 5 for a while, it occasionally started going black and having to be plugged in to restart it. This was annoying as it was always at an inconvenient time, but I put up with it as seemingly no fix.
Not it’s gone black and won’t restart at all. The three button thing doesnt work, changing the clock didn’t work, it’s now disconnected from my phone as part of this I thought I could remove it and reinstall but that didn’t work.. now I have a charge 5 that’s less than two years old that doesn’t do anything other show a red battery light on the back.
I’ve read all these forums with no help, it just seems to be dated.. seeing as all my data tracking will have a big gap while I sort something I’m thinking of just getting an Apple Watch as clearly Fitbit don’t last. Unless you can tell me somewhere I can send it to fix it..?

I have exactly the same problem. I bought through John Lewis and simply want to return it and get new one, but I'm getting nothing but confusing rubbish about pressing buttons that don't exist and downloading software that doesn't exist.

I thought there were Fitbit moderators who monitored this chat who could offer solutions?
I can’t find the receipt for mine but it’s over 1yr old so unlikely under warranty anyway. I just expected it to last longer..
