Charge 5 will not connect to gps in ‘phone’ mode

When using the ‘phone’ mode in the gps settings I am never able to connect to gps. I have my phone in my pocket when running so it’s in close proximity. I regularly sync with the app and have checked that location devices are set correctly. 
what am I missing??

Sad to hear that you're having issues with GPS usage on your Charge 5. Please make sure that Allow Location Access is set to Always or All the time for the Fitbit app on your phone if you're using Dynamic or Phone GPS with your Charge 5.
