Charge 5 will not connect with Samsung Galaxy A14 for text messages

I changed my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S8 to a Samsung Galaxy A14. I am no longer able to receive text messages from my Charge 5 device. This was a great feature on my Galaxy S8. I tried reinstalling the Fitbit App but still not working. Is the Samsung Galaxy A14 not compatible with the Charge 5?

Are you running One UI 5.0 on your Samsung devices? There seem to be issues with that Samsung update based on Android 13 and Fitbit devices:

One UI 5.0 update breaks Fitbit Charge 5 sync on some Galaxy devices 

This issue already has been acknowledged by Fitbit:

Luxe won't sync with Samsung Flip 3 

So, if your Galaxy A14 is on One UI 5, it might be a good idea to constantly check both devices for available updates to get things fixed.

The article said an update would be available in early 2023. It's July and I guess they have not solved this problem yet.
