This has happened several times, where I somehow entered ECG mode. I cannot get out of it unless I actually spend the 30+ seconds going through the exercise. When it happened this morning I plugged it into the charger and tried the reset, which didn't happen. I need to be able to exit the ECG scan if I don't want to do it--when waiting to look at the tracker for productive reasons, I generally don't want to wait the 30+ seconds to get to another screen as, for example, a notification that arrived.
Please add an exit option!
Never mind! I just discovered that quick tapping the screen three times, twice, exits it... Maybe Fitbit needs to document this.

Hi, thank you for sharing your comments about exiting the ECG screen on the Charge 5, @DaveDL.
It's good to know that you were able to go back to the clock screen by tapping twice on the screen. You can repeat this procedure whenever to want to go back to the main screen.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about including this on the Product Manual. You can find more information on how to navigate the screen of the Charge 5 in this article as well.

Help! My charge 5 is stuck in ECG mode. If I tap the screen it just makes me go through the whole process again and again ☹️ I can't even reboot it off the charger! I am ready to return this product. Honestly, I like the Charge 4 better

Hello & welcome @LoriLogan
Sorry to see your Charge 5 is stuck in ECG mode. Please try rapidly tapping the screen at least 2-3 times in succession. I found that rapidly tapping the screen multiple times would get me out of ECG or EDA mode and back to the main clock screen.
