Charge 5 won’t auto wake with timer running

I set a countdown timer during my walk today and auto wake stopped working. This resulted in me having to tap the watch to wake it which would sometimes pause the timer. I would like for the watch display to turn on when I raise my hand like normal. Thank you.

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the problem that you've been experiencing with your Charge 5, @SunsetRunner.

I've tested this on my Charge 5 and the screen should be turning on when you have a countdown timer. Could you please confirm if you already tried the restart procedure described here below?

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

This has been useful for other users experiencing something similar. In addition, make sure the Screen Wake option is activated in your device's settings and that the Sleep Mode and Do Not Disturb Mode are turned off.

I'll be around.
