Charge 5 won’t charge when put onto the port

So, my Fitbit is still working but it won’t charge when put onto the port. It won’t sync, I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It’s saying it’s found it but won’t connect. I can’t restart from the port or the device… help?

Hi @beckag, welcome to the Fitbit community.

I'm sorry you're having trouble charging your Fitbit Charge 5 and I appreciate you trying a few steps before contacting us.

As a first step, I would recommend trying cleaning the charging contacts on the back of the device, using a toothbrush and some fresh water.

I also need you to clean the pins that are on the charging cable, you will have to use a cotton swab and a little disinfectant alcohol, making sure that no pieces of the swab remain on the pins.

Finally you will need to connect it to another USB port or a UL certified USB wall charger.

Isn’t it obvious that these things are not working? I tried all of the above and my charge 5 is still not holding a charge.
