Just started today. I cleaned off the back and also the prongs on the charger. Still no luck getting it to charge  Any ideas?

Here to look for this issue, and then it just randomly started and jumped from 45% to 60% charge indicated. I'd say it is charging but not showing, it's doing some other odd things today, so I charge and reset to fix.

Hi there, @sms987. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post and your time in trying to solve the charging issues with your Charge 5. I'll do my best to get you back on track!

Sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5 once again. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.

@ChrisB1966 Thanks for stopping by and sharing those details! To better assist you, would you mind confirming whether you managed to solve the issue by restarting your Charge 5? Also, I'd like to know what other odd things it's doing so I can provide assistance. Keep me posted!

Hi, I thought it was self-evident that my issue was 'solved' when my Charge 5 started to respond to being charged and therefore allowed me to reset. You only really said the same thing I did to OP, give it more time on charge even if it does not show a response straight away.

The other 'odd' things are that it stoped the sleep log a few hours before I got up and would not sync. As with many issues they are 'solved' be resetting.

I have tried all your suggestions and nothing worked. The battery has run down and my Charge 5 is totally unresponsive. I have resurrected my old Charge 2 and am using that while I decide whether to purchase a new Fitbit or look elsewhere for a fitness tracker.
