Charge 5 won't connect to my new Android phone

I went from a Moto Power to newer Moto and now the app is stuck on "connecting".

 

- uninstalled the app on the old phone and the old phone is powered off

- agreed to battery & location permissions

- installed, reinstalled the app on new phone

- turned off vpn

-force stopped restarted app

 

still same symptoms

To better assist you, please make sure you've followed these steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your old phone's Bluetooth and also from the new phone.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your new phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
