Charge 5 won't hold a battery charge for more than a few hours (14 months old).
As a matter of fact, I can never get any of my Fitbits to last much longer than their warranty.

I have the same issue, I got mine in Jan-Feb 2022. Battery is less than 24hours as of recently.

My 14 month old Charge 5 is no longer covered under warrantee, but I was offered a 35% discount if I buy a new one. My first Charge 5 lasted 13 months and was NOT covered under warrantee either, but I replaced it with my current one with a small discount they gave me.
I'm a long time user of Fitbits, having various models over the years; Alta, Charge 3 - April 2020 (replaced under warranty), Charge 5 - Dec 2021, Charge 5 - Jan 2022. However, none of them have lasted much longer than a year. I believe only 1 of them was covered under warranty and replaced and a couple others were not covered or replaced. But again, they didn't last much longer than a year!

My Charge 5 is less than 60 days old and has dropped from a 7 day charge to 3 days-maybe.

I am having the same issue. It started about a week ago. It used to go for days without charging. I have turned off all the options and checked to make sure the fit wear is current. My Charge 5 is less than 6 months old and the battery last 12 hours. I purchased it on Amazon and Fitbit will not honor the wary. After 10+ years of Fitbit, I am walking away. Poor product quality and customer service.

Also having this problem. My Charge 5 is the same age as yours, and about 10 days ago it suddenly went from around 50% to completely dead. Now a full charge barely lasts a day and I have to recharge it before bedtime so that I get sleep info before the battery runs out. I haven't changed any settings/GPS and previously it lasted 5+ days without needing any interim charging. I've tried restarting with the charger button. I have installed the most recent firmware option available to me (though there was one which appeared on my phone a few days ago and then just seemed to vanish when I tried to install it - this was after the battery life issues started though). What else can I try?

Good conversation with Fitbit Chat rep. I went into settings and turned off the Always On Display. I believe it has made a difference!
