I only have to charge my Fitbit once a week. On March 9th it went black even though it showed still having a charge within the app. After plugging it in, it turned back on. I gave it a full charge and it died on March 10th the next day within 15hrs of being fully charged. Charged it to full again on the 10th and today am already dead. It was at 100% at midnight, when I woke up it was 63%. I reached out to customer support and they just did the usual testing but didn’t fix the issue. I have seen multiple threads on the issue this weekend so I know it’s a larger issue with Fitbit and not just time to replace my only 1 year old Charge 5.

The did not solve the issue. I did all of the tests and adding the device back and it didn’t change a thing. It died again today in less than 15hours. I called back today and was told they wouldn’t be able to do anything else to wait for an email from another team. The email came and was an insulting 35% of code to buy a new Fitbit. I have used this charge 5 less than 2 months total since purchasing it from Target. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why would I ever purchase another product when the company doesn’t even stand behind the poor quality or take responsibility for the all of a sudden dead battery when 4 days ago it was perfectly fine. Not to mention I am one of MANY who are stating this same issue happened to them this past weekend. So clearly this is on you Fitbit! I don’t think it’s a coincidence that 50 other people had one just die out of nowhere when it was working perfectly fine 4 days ago.

My Fitbit charge 5 died completely in December 2023. They send me a.new one once I called and asked about it dying after an update. My fitbit is less than 1 year old. It died again the other day ...I have NOTHING... it won't charge, it doesn't light up or anything. I've only had my replacement a month!!

Hi there, @tlwillia. Welcome on board. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 has stopped working. I understand where your concern is coming from as your Fitbit device is not that old. I will do my best to help you with this!
As per the description of your post, it seems like your Charge 5's battery is flat. Have you tried charging it? Please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working. Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.
When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.
