Charge 5 won't hold a charge anymore

My Fitbit charge 5 will only charge to 99%. I can sync to it, change clock and toggle through it's menu only while it's on the charger. 0nce it is removed from the charger the screen goes black and unresponsive. Once I put it back on the charger it shows 1% charge. It was working perfectly until 5.20.2024 after updating. I've contacted support and they ran me through their preset protocols ( none worked of course). I reverted to using my Fitbit charge 2 and it still works fine. Fitbit / Google need to step up and get this update corrected .. alot of us will be gone forever!

Even though I truly appreciate you took the time to come here and express your feelings towards your experience with your Charge 5 and also want to find a resolution to your issue, my best advice is to keep the conversation with our Support Team. Note for this kind of inquiries/cases/process, there's not so much we here in the forums can do for you as this is something that our team handles based on our policies.
